Kelluu produces high-resolution aerial data with autonomous airships. Its technology supports energy, infrastructure, environment, and defence sectors by providing continuous situational awareness and digital twins of the physical world. The company is building a persistent aerial monitoring network that operates globally.
Junior AI Developer
In this role, you will join our growing AI team to develop expertise in AI and data analytics through practical work. You will work with real-world sensor data, learning step-by-step how to build the analyses and models used in airship operations and customer services. You will have the support of the team and the opportunity to strengthen your skills through both training and hands-on tasks.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Data Processing & Modeling: Participate in data preprocessing, model design, and testing to improve the quality and utility of the information produced by the airships.
- Transform Data into Insights: Learn how to turn vast amounts of sensor data into concrete observations and understand how AI models function as part of a larger system.
- Utilize AI Tools: Use AI tools to support model development, documentation, data structuring, and analytics.
- Collaborate: Work closely with other AI and data developers in an environment where AI and autonomy have a clear, practical role.

We value an analytical approach, technical curiosity, and the ability to grasp large technical entities one small step at a time. The AI team appreciates someone who can progress through phases, ask questions, and research to move toward an increasingly independent role.
The Essentials:
- Programming & ML Foundation: A basic background in programming and an interest in machine learning. Knowledge of Python, data analytics basics, or the fundamentals of ML libraries is helpful.
- Analytical Mindset: Care and precision in handling data and a desire to understand how AI is applied in a data-intensive environment.
- Curiosity: A strong desire to learn and a proactive attitude toward adopting modern AI development tools.
- Valued Extras: Experience with sensor data, data processing, or numerical modeling is a plus.
- The Comms: Fluent written and spoken English is a must. At least basic level Finnish is required to support working in the Finnish operating environment.
As this position is filled through a recruitment training program, it provides additional readiness and learning support, but the daily focus is on practical work.

Koulutus
AI Academy ICT-alan rekrytointikoulutus alkaa 18.5.2026 ja kestää 5kk. Tavoitteena on työllistyä yhteistyöyritykseen koulutuksen päätteeksi. Koulutus tarjoaa mahdollisuuden vahvistaa osaamistasi ja suunnata osaamisesi tulevaisuuden työtehtäviin, joissa tekoälyn hyödyntäminen on luonnollinen osa arkea. Ohjelma sopii sinulle, joka haluat päästä mukaan alan kasvavaan kysyntään ja kehittää paikkaasi yritysten digitalisaation ytimessä.
Koulutus toteutetaan monimuotototeutuksena: 70 % työssäoppimista yhteistyöyrityksessä ja 30 % tietopuolista koulutusta verkossa suomeksi. Työssäoppiminen toteutetaan yrityksen toimintatapojen mukaan paikan päällä Pohjois-Karjalassa, hybridinä tai etänä.
Ohjelman pohjana kulkee yhteinen tekoälykokonaisuus, jota täydentää osallistujan ja yhteistyöyrityksen yhdessä valitsema suuntautuminen joko:
- ohjelmistokehitykseen, tai
- data-analytiikkaan.
Lisäksi koulutuskokonaisuuteen sisältyy projektityöskentelyä, tietoturvan perusteita, pilvipalveluiden käyttöä sekä keskeisiä työelämätaitoja.

Kohderyhmä:
Koulutus on tarkoitettu ensisijaisesti pohjoiskarjalaisille työttömille tai työttömyysuhan alaisille työnhakijoille, joilla on aiempaa osaamista tai ymmärrystä ICT- ja tekoälyteemoista esimerkiksi koulutuksen, työkokemuksen tai harrastuneisuuden kautta. AI Academy ICT rekrytointikoulutus sopii erityisesti motivoituneille ja ennakkoluulottomille henkilöille, jotka haluavat oppia uutta ja kehittyä koulutuksen aiheiden parissa.
Koulutuksen ajalta voidaan yleensä maksaa työttömyysetuutta ja kulukorvausta (mahdollisesti korotettuna). Rekrytointikoulutuksen ajalta ei makseta palkkaa, vaan myös silloin maksetaan työttömyysetuutta ja kulukorvausta asiakkaan tilanteen mukaan.
